There are no accounts, forms or mailing lists here, and we don’t set advertising or tracking cookies.
Like any website, the host that serves these pages may keep standard server logs, such as the page requested, browser type and an IP address, to keep the site running and secure.
Buying Typo Finder
Typo Finder is sold and licensed through aescripts + aeplugins. When you buy, your name, email and payment details go to them, not to us, and their privacy policy applies.
Inside the plugin
- Scanning, spelling, spacing, Brand Kits and font checks all run on your computer. No text leaves it.
- Your custom dictionary, Brand Kits, settings and any API key are saved in a folder on your computer.
- Typo Finder doesn’t collect usage data or send anything back to us.
AI Proofread
AI Proofread only runs when you click it. Then the text from your scan goes to the AI you choose:
- With your own API key: straight to that provider, Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google (Gemini). Typo Finder asks before sending to a provider for the first time.
- Without a key: nothing is sent automatically. You copy the prompt yourself and paste it into any AI chat.
Each provider’s own privacy terms apply. On Gemini’s free tier, Google may use the text to improve its products.
